Our Founder
Hi, I’m Lindsay Moir, the founder of DanceScoop.
I started DanceScoop because I saw how difficult it was for dancers and music lovers in Victoria to find up-to-date information on where to go. Too often, events were hidden in scattered Facebook groups or word-of-mouth circles. I wanted a simple way for people to discover great music and social dancing without the endless searching.
With a background in data science, technology, and entrepreneurship, I’ve spent my career building solutions that connect people with what matters most. At the same time, I’ve been a passionate member of the local social dance community — from salsa and bachata to West Coast Swing and more. DanceScoop brings these two worlds together.

Make it easy for anyone in Victoria to instantly find dance and live music events — and in doing so, help our community grow stronger, more connected, and a lot more fun.
When I’m not building DanceScoop, you’ll probably find me on the dance floor, mentoring students in data science, or planning my next travel adventure.
